DTI provides gateway to world for UK businesses

Science
minister Lord Sainsbury has launched the DTI’s new website, with the aim of
keeping UK businesses informed about the latest technological developments
around the world.

The
website hopes to improve the competitiveness of UK industry by making companies
aware of best practice.

The
DTI site will provide:

•
reports from the Foreign Office science and technology posts located in key
technology centres overseas

•
information on technology and business developments around the world drawn from
600 specially selected websites, and

•
contacts with the DTI’s International Technology Promoters – business people
with experience in developing technology partnerships between UK business and
overseas organisations.
