by Personnel Today 21 Nov 2000
by Personnel Today 21 Nov 2000

Job-seekers who sign up to e-recruitment Solutions will be given a 10 per cent discount on CTEC IT courses from IT training company Informatics. "The IT skills shortage has become a very real problem for the UK industry," says Glenn Smith, chief executive of erecruitment Solutions. "Training is critical for bridging this skills gap, but high costs often make this prohibitive for the individual or smaller company." The courses range from elementary Internet skills to the more advanced Network Skills and Windows 2000.

Service could help fill healthcare skills gap

The Association of Primary Care Groups and Trusts (APCGT) has joined with health recruitment site Jobsinhealth.co.uk to try to solve the primary care skills shortage. By following a link from the APCGT site, members can post job adverts in an exclusive primary care section. Vacancies are automatically added to the Jobsinhealth database. APCGT is recognised by the NHS Executive and represents over 300 of the UK’s 480 primary care groups.
