Careerzone, an on-line information centre for the accounting industry. Features
include Ask A Consultant – in which a Robert Half expert will respond to a

Round-the-clock legislation information
HR-now.co.uk
is a free,
24-hour,
seven-days-a-week on-line resource for HR professionals, launched by GEE
Publishing. “We recognise that few HR professionals work 9am to 5pm and they
need immediate access to legislative information at any time – not just during
office hours,” says GEE commercial manager Emma Thomas. Free facilities on the
site include 260 quick guides on HR and payroll-related topics, news and job
alerts, legislation updates and moderated discussion forums. A premium service
(£50 annually) gives subscribers access to more in-depth information and an Ask
The Expert e-mail and telephone facility.
Internet Professional for every business
IT trainer
Hemsley Fraser has introduced a new training portfolio, the Internet
Professional, which aims to bring web marketing and on-line selling within the
grasp of every business. It follows research by Hemsley that indicated a
shortage of skills is preventing many companies from exploiting opportunities
in e-commerce. It found that most organisations are not using the Internet to
generate sales because they lack the necessary skills. Hemsley’s programme of
courses includes Internet marketing and making your web site profitable.
