by Personnel Today 16 Jun 2010

Edvantage group, an e-learning company and Managed Learning Service provider, announces the latest release of the SaaS-based content authoring tool CourseBuilder, v5.6. The release includes new audio and visual functionality as well as the launch of Interactive pdfs.

CourseBuilder v5.6 features many new ways in which you can manipulate visual elements using static, animated or transition effects. It also features 25 new frame effects allowing you to easily add frame effects to any picture, video or animation and an option to add background sound to e-learning courses.

Interactive pdfs are the latest channel for sharing engaging learning content within organisations. CourseBuilder v5.6 allows you to export any page or sequence of your e-learning to an Interactive pdf file allowing easy re-use of content.

Sven Ove Sjolyst, VP CourseBuilder at Edvantage group comments, “The new audio-visual features in CourseBuilder enhance the user experience and make it even easier and faster for users to create high-quality interactive e-learning.  The new Interactive PDF functionality is amazing; it’s so easy to make pdfs come alive with stunning interactive content in sales brochures, manuals, technical documentation, etc. CourseBuilder allows you to easily and quickly create or re-use interactive content in any pdf file, increasing the ROI on any content-development as you will be able to use the same content for multiple purposes.”

CourseBuilder v5.6 was released 15 June, 2010. Clients will receive immediate access to the new features and capabilities as part of Edvantage group’s SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) model.
