A practical guide for employers on how to reduce stress in the workplace has
been published by the Engineering Employers’ Federation.
The body, which represents engineering and manufacturing firms has put
together the guide, Managing Stress at Work, to help employers deal with
stress.
It covers issues such as what stress is and why it matters, the legal
ramifications, how stress arises, what can be done, undertaking a stress risk
assessment and managing stress.

The federation’s health and safety manager Gary Booton said, "The guide
gives straightforward advice for business on managing stress at work. It is
based on the experience of manufacturing companies."
