UK
executive salaries jumped by 16.1 per cent in 2001 – almost three times the
national average.
An
independent poll of directors earning more than £500,000 a year found that the
average salary in 2001 was £882,000.
According
to the Labour Research Survey this is the eighth consecutive year that
boardroom pay has increased.
