Plus is hoping to reduce the number of disabled people unnecessarily out of
work with the launch of a new strategy.
The
strategy sees a new partnership formed between Jobcentre Plus, the Employers’
Forum on Disability and UnumProvident, and the launch of a best practice kit.
The
kit, The Knowledge – Disability Solutions for Employers, explains the benefits
of employing disabled people, and the best way to do so.
There
are currently over a million disabled people in the UK who want to work but
cannot find employment.
