A snapshot poll of 2,000 workers has painted a picture of families coping with rising levels of stress at home and at work.
A combination of financial pressures, heavy workloads and long hours is leading to fractious home lives for many, with stress-related arguments now at an all-time high, the research from Benenden Healthcare Society has concluded.

One-third rated their stress levels as “quite high”, while 7% said “very high”. A quarter admitted to hitting the bottle to help themselves cope.
Two-thirds said that they experienced the most stress at work, with heavy workloads and tight deadlines exacerbating matters.
