More than three quarters of finance professionals are actively looking for a new job, according to a survey by online recruitment firm, eFinancialCareers.com.
The most common reason for wanting to move, cited by 66% of the 462 respondents, was better career prospects, wanting to move up in pay and position.
One in five said that they were unhappy with their current employer and 15% said they were unhappy with their bonus.
About half (53%) of finance professionals said that their bonus showed no increase from last year and just 11% received a bonus increase of 35% or more, according to the survey.
Ian Brown, editor-in-chief of eFinancialCareers.com, said: “Bonuses are tremendously important to individuals. It is perhaps no surprise that such significant numbers of City workers are now actively looking to switch firms.”
