Meeting the diverse needs of staff is the most important advantage of
flexible benefits schemes, according to research.
It shows that using benefits as a recruitment aid experienced the largest
fall in importance among the advantages of flexible plans cited by respondents
this year. This may reflect a shift away from focusing on recruitment towards

More than 400 organisations took part in the 10th annual Flexible Benefits
Survey. It reveals that interest in flexible plans remains strong, with around
70 per cent of the respondents having already implemented a scheme or planning
to do so. More than 20 per cent implemented their plans last year – more than
twice the number put in place in 2001, and the largest implementation increase
in the past decade. Â www.hewittbaconwoodrow.co.uk
