London hosts the Forum for Expatriate Management’s 2019 Global Mobility Summit next month with Brexit and immigration high on the agenda for the two-day event.

Bringing together global mobility professionals, HR specialists and industry experts, the FEM’s Summit offers delegates interactive workshop sessions, corporate-only roundtables, panel discussions and case studies, and masterclasses from senior global mobility leaders.

The two-day event takes place at the InterContinental Hotel O2 on 20-21 November and is free for practising in-house HR and global mobility professionals and culminates in the EMMAs, the Expatriate Management and Mobility Awards, which celebrate innovation, best practice, rising stars and outstanding individuals.

Claire Tennant-Scull, global director of content and events at Forum for Expatriate Management, said: “At FEM we welcome an increasing number of HR generalists to our events because almost every organisation now has business travellers and employees who develop their careers through international experience.

“Of course that movement brings great benefits to a business, but also carries serious risks, so we have experts in immigration, tax, health and security risk as well as senior professionals from top global companies who generously share advice and best practice.”

Day one features among other topics, an opening keynote on managing stress, a panel discussion on Brexit and immigration, sessions on tax and social security as well as numerous networking and professional development opportunities.

The second day includes workshops on stakeholder management, and a look at optimising talent and the international experience, making it more adaptive to personal needs, modern families and non-traditional career pathways.

“Our events are characterised by their inclusivity and the willingness of our members and delegates to share their knowledge both during the Summit sessions and the breaks which are so valuable for building those vital professional networks,” added Tennant-Scull.

The FEM EMEA Summit is FREE to attend for all in-house global mobility and HR professionals. Suppliers of services to the industry pay to attend – an early bird discount rate ends on Friday 25 October.
