A new study has again pointed to a gross gender pay divide between human resources, training and industrial relations managers.
The GMB union found that full–time male managers in these sectors picked up an annual salary of £62,461, compared with £45,029 earned by their female counterparts –a difference of 58%.
According to the GMB, male HRofficersand industrial relations officers earned £35,028, while their female colleagues received £25,183 a year –a difference of £9,845, almost a third more.

GMB national officer Paul Maloney said: “These official figures show that the gender pay gap for HR managers is double the UK average gender pay gap.
“The figures prove that there is institutional sex discrimination in the profession which is charged with the responsibility, by law, to close the gender pay gap.”
