In recognition of the snack of choice for late-night revellers, Hamburg’s Vocational School for Gastronomy and Nutrition has introduced a new course in doner kebab production.
The course is part of a government initiative in Germany to encourage young immigrants to get professional training and improve their chances of getting a job.
A school spokesman said: “The doner kebab is a work of art created by a professional and undervalued by drunken philistines.”
