Colne Housing Society is one of the first housing associations to expand to offer a new range of private sector business services, including finance and payroll.
The organisation – which owns and manages more than 1,900 properties across north Essex – is launching a new range of business services under the branding Colne Solutions.
It will offer its services to other housing associations, charities and companies which may be looking to outsource their finance and payroll work.

Richard Jones, Colne Housing’s business and commercial manager, said there was spare capacity in its in-house payroll system which would be made available to other organisations.
“We are fortunate to have a very experienced and established team working in our payroll department, and we are delighted to be able to offer their services to other organisations which may wish to take up our experience in this sector,” he said.
