Multinational food and drink sector supplier Linpac Packaging has given HR director John Jones the new – if less than catchy – title of vice-president of HR, health, safety, hygiene and environment.
He will have responsibility for organisational development, change management, senior level recruitment, and compensation and benefits packages across the group, and will report directly to president and managing director Ralf Wunderlich.
Jones’ HR career has included stints at British Energy, Scottish and Newcastle, HJ Heinz and Allied Steel and Wire. He joined Linpac’s Plastics division in 2001 and became group HR director in 2006.
He said: “At Linpac Packaging, we recognise that our people are one of our greatest assets so I look forward to putting systems in place to ensure all our staff can develop to their full potential.”
In a nod to his new health, safety, hygiene and environment slant, he added: “As a company, we are really proud of our strong health and safety record. I aim to maintain this and continually develop our procedures so we have the best possible health and safety mechanisms in place.”
