Helen Giles, HR director for homeless charity Broadway, has been shortlisted for the Guardian’s Public Servant of the Year award.
This award aims to recognise and reward an outstanding achievement in the public sector and will be decided by public vote.
Howard Sinclair, Broadway chief executive, said: “Helen is an outstanding team leader who inspires the highest levels of professionalism and engagement in her team.
The recent award of an MBE was a well-deserved recognition of the difference to the lives of the most vulnerable people in our society that can be made by excellence in HR practice.”
