HR Go celebrates golden anniversary in style

by Personnel Today 6 Feb 2008
by Personnel Today 6 Feb 2008

National Recruitment Group, HR GO plc, enters their 50th year within the recruitment industry in style!

From over 60 HR GO locations throughout the UK, 250 employees came together in Ashford, Kent, to attend the company’s first Employee Excellence Awards event to celebrate their 50th anniversary.

A “Gold and James Bond” theme added an elegant twist to the glitzy black tie event which welcomed employees from as far as Malaga and South Africa.

Jack Parkinson, HR GO Chairman commented; “The award event was a huge success. It provided a perfect opportunity for our JV partners and their teams to meet under one roof, network and share our common goals and objectives for the future as one, united company.

“We also recognised the hard work and dedication of our employees through our first ever award ceremony. This enabled the whole group to say thank you to our key asset; our people and it highlighted what skilled professionals we have within our business. Following the positive feedback from our teams, the Excellence Awards will now be an annual event and we hope next year will be bigger and better!”

There were 10 award categories in total including the Best Recruitment Consultant, Extra Mile Award, Innovation and Most Improved Team.

Jack Parkinson was awarded a surprise Lifetime Achievement award for his commitment and passion to the recruitment industry spanning over 30 years.

HR GO plc was founded by Mrs Betty Parkinson in December 1957, the Chairman’s mother.  HR GO is one of the top 50 recruitment companies in the UK with a turnover approaching £90 million employing over 450 permanent staff nationally and 4,000 plus contract personnel.
