Joanne Brown and Carol Mingova from the Orders of St John Care Trust scooped the first prize of £3,000 in last week’s HR Hornets Nest, jointly organised by Personnel Today and PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Brown and Mingova wooed the judges with their warts-and-all recruitment campaign as HR entrepreneurs from around the UK met at the Custard Factory in Birmingham on Tuesday 22 April to pitch their ideas in a Dragons’ Den-style contest.
Steve Gauller, of the Catholic High School, won the runners-up prize of £2,000 for his idea of a nutritional support programme to improve employee performance.
