The
Personnel Today portfolio is expanding globally, having acquired the publishing
rights to the bi-monthly magazine HR World last week.
Our aim is
to relaunch the publication in the New Year with a new name – Global HR –
increase the frequency to 10 issues a year and introduce content changes
relevant to a senior audience. Global
HR will be targeted at senior HR professionals with international
responsibilities and will be circulated worldwide, including the US and Europe.
A
continuing feature of the publication will be the distribution arrangement with
the Society for Human Resource Management in the US, which circulates the title
to 6,000 of its Global Forum members.

The current
editor, Pepi Sappal, and advertisement manager, Andrew Richland, have joined
the team and will work within the Personnel Today portfolio to develop Global
HR as a strategic and practical tool for top international HR
decision-makers.
Commenting
on the acquisition, Trevor Parker, publishing director of the Personnel Today
Portfolio, said: “This acquisition is
an excellent fit with our existing group of leading publications in the HR
sector. The rapidly expanding international HR market has real information
needs which I am confident Global HR will be able to deliver.”
