IBC van workers vote on strike action

Workers
at the IBC van factory in Luton are voting on strike action.

Employees
at the plant, which manufactures medium-sized vans and sports utility vehicles
as part of US-based General Motors, have threatened a one-day walk-out next
Monday.

The
Transport and General Workers’ Union says workers are concerned over a revised pay
offer which links pay to holidays.

The
result of the ballot is expected at the end of the week.
