This week’s news in brief
Stress awareness day
Employers are being urged to offer staff advice on stress on
Wednesday 5 November – National Stress Awareness Day. Organised for the sixth year running by the
International Stress Management Association, the theme this year is ‘We can all
do something about stress’.
More than two-thirds of workers under the age of 35 are
considering downsizing their job to achieve better work-life balance. A study
by Prudential also found that nearly 1 million people aged between 35 and 54
are making ‘serious plans’ to downsize their work. www.prudential.co.uk
