British Gas is to use interactive TV to help recruit its next generation of
service and installation engineers.
The company has signed up with the Job Channel, which reaches 18 million
viewers through the Sky Active, NTL and Telewest platforms.
The British Gas recruitment campaign, initially running for an eight-week
period, will primarily target 17-23-year-olds, offering them the opportunity to
train as either service or installation engineers, providing full training to
NVQ Level 3.
David Cox, resourcing officer at British Gas, said: "The Job Channel
seems an ideal solution for reaching a new pool of potential applicants, we
look forward to monitoring the results."
Potential candidates can view the advertised positions on the Job Channel,
and can apply directly via their TV sets.
