American
based Internet portal Yahoo is to reduce its workforce by 12 per cent to cut
costs following a predicted drop in revenue.
The
American-based company is to cut 400 of its 3,500 workforce over the next 30
days but it has not revealed if the job losses will affect its UK operations.
Yahoo blamed
the jobs cut on the economic downturn in the US and the reduction in
advertising revenue.
