An
investigation into barriers to employment faced by people living with HIV has
been launched by the Positive Futures Partnership.
Funded
by the London Development Agency (LDA) – the agency for business set up by the
capital’s mayor Ken Livingstone – the Positive Futures Partnership hopes to use
the survey results in its role providing information on HIV to business to
ensure that people living with HIV can lead a fulfilling and productive working
life without fear of discrimination.
In
the UK alone, more than 42,000 people are estimated to be living with HIV and
the majority of these are of working age.
