IT
workers are demanding a better work-life balance, but more than half do not
believe that senior managers are leading by example, according to a new report.
The
study of 1,000 IT professionals by the Department of Trade and Industry showed
that 93 per cent of women and 81 per cent of men want more flexibility in their
working practices.
However,
more than half do not believe their senior managers make good work-life balance
role models, with nearly three-quarters fearing that having a more flexible
career would harm their promotion prospects.
