Kwik Fit Financial Services passes on successful initiatives to reduce staff turnover to the group

Vehicle repair business Kwik Fit is considering adopting strategies devised by the HR director of the financial services arm of the business.

Keren Edwards, HR director of Kwik Fit Financial Services, said she had talked to the group’s HR director about taking up some of the initiatives that have seen her division reduce staff turnover from 52% back in 2001 to 32%.

She said some of her initiatives, which included increasing pay, free food days, duvet days and a more vibrant colour scheme for the company’s call centres, had scared the group’s HR top dogs.

Edwards said: “I appreciate there are some things that we can do because we are on one site and they can not because they are spread out across the country. But, I am pushing for them to take up some ideas.”
