E-skills UK, in partnership with BT, are inviting development and recruitment managers to an exclusive event ‘Apprenticeships – exploding the myths’ – showcasing our next generation apprenticeships in IT and Telecoms.
The business lunch and seminar will take place on Monday 14th July, 1.30 to 4.30 pm, at One Great George Street, Westminster, London.
Rt Hon John Denham MP, Secretary for Innovation, Universities and Skills, and Sir Mike Rake, Chairman, BT Group & Chair of the UK Commission for Employment and Skills, have been confirmed as keynote speakers.
Apprenticeships are not about trade skills for the past: they develop the business people and technology professionals of the future.
The event will feature IT & Telecoms companies and show how they are getting bottom-line benefits from apprenticeships.
The event will provide an excellent opportunity to meet the business people and apprentices who are already reaping the financial benefits of innovative work-based learning programmes.
Presentations will cover a range of topics including:
. BT’s apprenticeship programme – generating £2m per annum in bottom line productivity gains and cost savings, compared to direct recruits
. How apprenticeships can be used as a cost-neutral alternative to offshoring for application and software development roles
