Little rise in career break schemes

Mentoring remains an approach used by relatively few organisations with just over one-third opting for it although the percentage has risen significantly by 10.5 per cent from last year. Two-thirds more public and education organisations have women’s development programmes in place, but there has been almost no increase in the proportion of respondents overall offering these programmes.

There is little sign this will increase further in the next year as there is a 2.5 per cent fall in the number of respondents stating this factor needs more development.
