Managers are drawing a creative blank

Organisations
are facing a ‘creative deficit’ in preparing for the future, according to a new
survey.

The
survey shows that most managers lack confidence in their creative and
innovative skills, and reveals that just one in four organisations provide
resources or training to help workers come up with ideas.

The
creativity@work study shows that while 75 per cent of managers use
brainstorming, 94 per cent believe it isn’t an effective use of time, and only
20 per cent believe it produces good results.
