Managerial pay has increased by 3 per cent, according to data from Croner Reward.
The survey of 522 companies also shows that the sample’s median basic salary stands at £29,539.
Staff in Northern Ireland are paid the lowest median salary (£23,017). Employers in the South West are forecasting the highest pay increase at the next review of 4.3 per cent, while those in the North West and the West Midlands predict increases of just 2.7 per cent.
Managers working in oil or gas extraction or processing earn a median basic salary of £41,017 – 38.9 per cent above the UK average of £33,858.
Textile managers receive the lowest salaries, earning a median of £25,100, followed by agriculture and forestry managers on £25,308.
