Morale’s effect on NHS output to be investigated

The HR body representing the NHS is to research the link between staff
morale and performance in the health service.

The Association of Healthcare Human Resource Management (AHHRM) is leading
the initiative in partnership with the Chartered Institute of Personnel
Development (CIPD), the HR directorate of the Department of Health (DoH), and
the Modernisation Agency.

The work was initiated by AHHRM president Elaine Way, who is keen to mark
her presidency with a substantial piece of work that adds to the evidence base
for HR practice in the NHS.
