The TUC has organised a rally
against the redundancies at Marks & Spencer later this week.
Thousands of the retail giant’s
workers are expected to join the rally against M&S plans to close all their
mainland European stores.
The rally starts at 12pm in
Allsop Place, London, marching past M&S’s Baker Street headquarters and its
flagship store in Oxford Street, before ending in Hyde Park.
Speakers include the TUC’s
general secretary John Monks and Philip Jennings general secretary of UNI.
