Yet another new face has taken over the occupational health brief within
Parliament, following June’s reshuffle by Prime Minister Tony Blair.
Junior health minister, David Lammy, has been moved to the new Department
for Constitutional Affairs, with Rosie Winterton, MP for Doncaster Central,
taking his place.
Also, public health minister, Hazel Blears, has moved to the Home Office,
with Melanie Johnson, MP for Welwyn Hatfield, stepping into her role.

A Department of Health spokeswoman said it was likely Winterton would take
on the OH brief, but it was up to the new secretary of state, John Reid, to
make a final decision.
Winterton was previously in the Lord Chancellor’s Office, while Johnson
comes from the Department of Trade and Industry.
