A website aimed at providing an HR information service for
local government went live today.
Developed in association with SOCPO, lghr-now.co.uk offers
advice for HR professionals within local government as well as providing an
online public employment service.
For a subscription service of £750 a year, visitors to the
site can access 400 pages of information covering HR and personnel issues, get
individual advice over the phone and search for public sector jobs.
There is also a dicussion forum that allows HR professionals
in the public and private sector across the UK to share views and advice.
“Never before has the need for a dedicated online
information service for local government HR professionals been so great,”
commented Terry Gorman, SOCPO’s president.
