Offshore
Operations Notices and Safety Notices are set to be made freely available on
the Internet to ensure they reach all parts of the offshore oil and gas
industry.
The
new online service from the HSE will replace the present subscription-based
system.
The
electronic method allows notices to be published much faster and made more
widely available than the present system. The reduction in cost also means it
is now possible to make it a free service.
The
existing notice system has been reviewed and those that remain current have
been updated and where necessary republished online.
When
new or revised notices are posted, industry trades associations and trade
unions will be notified and asked to advise their members of publication.
