Nola Ishmael, Department of Health nursing officer, was awarded an OBE in
the Queen’s Birthday Honours List this year.
A former health visitor and director of community nursing services at
Greenwich, south east London, she is responsible for advising health ministers
on a wide range of issues, including occupational health.
Ishmael, one of the judges of the OH Journal Award for Health at Work in
this year’s Personnel Today awards, said she was "honoured and seriously
awed by the whole thing".
