The Association of Graduate Recruiters (AGR), has appointed Alison Hodgson
as its new chair. Hodgson, who is UK and Ireland resourcing manager for
catering firm Sodexho, will be responsible for steering the AGR over the next
three years. Hodgson has a BA degree in psychology, an MSc in occupational
psychology from The Queens University of Belfast, and the Henley Certificate in
business and management. She started her career at Marks & Spencer before
moving to SalamonSmithBarney, WorldCom and, most recently, Sodexho. Hodgson was
formerly the AGR’s finance director, with overall responsibility for the organisation’s
annual accounts. Â

Bob Warner has been appointed as chief executive of Remploy, the UK provider
of employment opportunities for disabled people. Warner has been finance
director of Remploy since May 2002, and his previous posts include president of
operations at MMO2, president of Europe operations at BT wireless and deputy
finance director of British Coal. The secretary of state for work and pensions,
Andrew Smith made the appointment.
Housebuilder and commercial property developer Redrow has appointed Ilona
Hall to head a five strong in-house training team. As training and development
manager, Hall is helping to implement a strategy that will include a mixture of
vocational training and personal development programmes for the company’s 1,300
staff. Previously senior training manager with stockbrokers Charles Schwab
Europe, she has specialised in training for the past 12 years, following a
successful management career.
