Michelle King has joined Lex Vehicle Leasing as manager of its sales
training academy. Before her appointment, she was head of training and
development at Securicor. Her responsibilities at the Lex academy will include
developing the skills, knowledge and capabilities of the group through
coaching, mentoring and training provision.
The new Holiday Inn London – Docklands ExCel – has recruited Joanne Usher as
personnel and training manager. She joins the group from the International
Hotel in London, where she held the same post. She will begin her full duties
in when the hotel opens later this month.

Commercial law firm Beachcroft Wansbroughs has promoted three members of its
national employment practice as part of the latest round of promotions.
Employment lawyer Nick Chronias has now been made a partner in the firm, and
will specialise in TUPE, discrimination and the Working Time Directive. He
joined the firm in 1997 and also has advocacy experience and European law
expertise. Ajit Moorthy and Taj Rehal have both been promoted to associates at
the company.
Professor Keith Sisson has joined Acas as head of strategy development. The
post has been created following a major change programme at the company. The
role was designed to make sure that the body contributes to national and
international policy formation. Prior to joining the company, Sisson previously
worked at Warwick Business School’s industrial relations research unit.
