Nigel Sullivan has joined supply chain solutions firm Wincanton as group HR
director. He joins the company from Marconi where he was executive
vice-president for HR, supporting 20,000 employees worldwide. He previously
held senior HR positions at Nortel Networks and Rover. He will report directly
to chief executive Paul Bateman.
– The Bank of Ireland has strengthened its senior executive team with the
appointment of Keir Lynch as HR director. He was previously vice-president of
HR at Marconi. Before then, he held a range of senior management roles within
Marconi.
– The North East-based convenience store chain Mills Group has hired Fiona
Green (pictured) as director of training. Green has extensive knowledge of the
training sector and more than 20 years’ experience with the Arcadia Group. She
will be responsible for identifying training needs for all employees, designing
and sourcing appropriate solutions and implementing training activity.
– Sean McIlveen is the new director of HR at Ford Motor Company. He replaces
Maria Antoniou who has been promoted to the post of HR director at Ford-owned
Jaguar and Land Rover.

In his new role, McIlveen will have overall responsibility for all of Ford’s
HR issues in Britain. He will also take over Antoniou’s position on Ford’s board.
Prior to his latest appointment, he was the director for education, training
and development, with responsibility for employee learning programmes across
Europe.
