On the move

Vicky Wright, an associate at Watson Wyatt HR consultancy, has taken over from former cabinet secretary Lord Richard Wilson as president of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD). Wright, who has been a CIPD member for 20 years, has been elected to the post for a two-year term.

Andrew Armes has been appointed as head of career development, and Steve Dyke as head of resourcing in the marketing department at pharmaceuticals company AstraZeneca.

Paul McCarten has been appointed as HR co-ordinator for outsourcing company Land Securities Trillium. McCarten will be the main HR contact for the customer service centres in Leeds and London.
