GSK Biologicals has appointed Luc Vanden Broeck vice-president of HR. He will be based at the company’s headquarters in Belgium, and will be responsible for building on existing HR practices for 9,000 staff across 14 countries. Vanden Broeck was previously HR director for North and Central Europe at Healthcare Europe for Kimberly-Clark.

Laura Whyte has been promoted to personnel director at John Lewis, having been acting personnel director since August 2008. Previously, she was divisional registrar, having joined the John Lewis Partnership in 1982 as a trainee assistant registrar.
Joy Watkins has been promoted to director of resources at the National Lottery Commission. She has been with the Commission since 2001, most recently as head of compliance.
