PersonnelToday.com
has been named Interactive Business & Professional Magazine of the Year in
the Periodical Publishers Association (PPA) Awards 2004.
Describing
the site as "very sticky", the judges praised PersonnelToday.com’s
excellent interactivity.
"It
has great features that keep you coming back. This site adds great value to the
printed product," the judges said. They particularly liked the self-test section.
The
judging panel was also impressed by the site’s look and feel, concluding,
"It is a clean, simple, user-friendly and well-presented site with real
interactivity."
The
award was presented by impersonator Alistair McGowan at a ceremony at London’s
Grosvenor House last night. Magazine editor Jane King and web manager Andrew
Rogers accepted the trophy.
Others
shortlisted in the category included the websites of Community Care, which is
also published by Reed Business Information, and Nursing Times.
Editor
Andrew Rogers said, "This is a fantastic accolade. We are always looking
to develop new ways of interacting with the HR community and to have our
achievements recognised by the magazine industry in this way means a lot."
The
Periodical Publishers Association is the organisation of magazines and B2B
media in the UK.
