How long?
This course is completed in nine months by full-time study at our Slough Campus or two years part-time, which is by afternoon and evening study at our Ealing and Slough Campus. This programme is also designed to fit around candidates’ existing work and home commitments and is offered via Supported Open Learning, starting every two to three months. It can be completed in 12 or 18 months. Learning methods combine self-study with work-based assignments and practical skills development workshops.
Entry requirements
Applicants will need to have a Degree or Diploma in Management Studies (DMS).
Modules
These will include in Phase 1 Managing and Leading People, Managing for Results, Managing in a Strategic Context and Managing Resources. Modules in Phase 2 include People Management and Development, Generalist Electives, Management Report and Continuing Professional Development.

Career opportunities
The course covers the disciplines of management and personnel and development and is designed for busy human resource professionals who wish to develop their careers and those wishing to move in to human resource management. As well as the knowledge and skills you will acquires on the course, you will be awarded graduate membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) once you qualify. Students have also found the course a rich source of networking contacts.
