A dispute over national funding rules for teachers with extra duties prompted a staff walk-out at a Merseyside school.
As the nation prepared for the half-term holidays, eight staff from Holy Spirit Primary School in St Helens picketed the school in a protest over the new rules.
According to the National Association of Schoolmasters Union of Women Teachers, allowances for additional workloads have been withdrawn, despite staff being expected to take on more duties.
