Prison Service fails to reach sickness level target

the last year was 14.7 per cent,
against a target of 9 per cent.  

report, A Measure of Success, says that the Prison Service has not
managed to meet its key performance indicator (KPI) on staff sickness since it
was introduced in 1999.

Prison Officers Association says sickness levels among prison officers are the
highest in the public sector.
