A number of UK firms have been honoured at the DWF Employer Awards held recently in Manchester.
The law firm launched the awards to showcase excellence in human resources practice, and winners included BAE Systems (Preston) for distinction in employee training; Daniel Contractors for excellence in risk management; Co-operative Financial Services (Manchester) for excellence in managing the people aspect of change; financial services firm Cattles (Nottingham) for best employee benefits communications; Capita Education Resourcing (Manchester) for partnerships in business; First Choice Holidays (Salford) for innovation in recruitment; and Trinity-Chiesi Pharmaceuticals (Manchester) for outstanding leadership in HR.
Fast food giant McDonald’s (London) picked up the award for excellence in HR through technology. It also received an additional award for inspirational leaders in HR management in recognition of its outstanding commitment to its people.

Nominees were judged by a panel consisting of representatives from DWF and each of the sponsors, together with an independent chairman.
