Strategic HR is a vacuously empty term, according to a new
report produced by the London Human Resource Group and KPMG.
Amin Rajan, co-author of the Tomorrow’s Organisation report, said, "Strategic HR has been used to
describe almost anything in the past. Within HR, language is often used as a
substitute for action."
Other key findings in the report reveal that HR managers
need to be aware of changing business models in organisations which have
far-reaching implications for the leadership skills required by employees.
Rajan said, "Human resources has an important role to
play in this area in delivering the leadership skills required by
employees."

Rajan added that HR managers need to raise their awareness
of the changing business model as the report reveals that 70 per cent of
professionals are not ready for this role.
