The
typical online jobseeker in the UK is likely to be a 34-year-old man living in
the South East, according to the latest research.
Results
compiled from 10,000 users of recruitment website totaljobs.com show that more
than a quarter of those using the service were unemployed or retired, the
highest number since 2000.
The
retail and sales sectors suffer the worst staff turnover with the largest
number of active jobseekers also present in these areas.
The
average salary desired by people looking for work online is £24,460, while
those most looking for managerial positions work in HR or catering.
