When it comes to organisational change, the Royal Mail is going through the
biggest turnaround in UK corporate history, according to its chief learning
officer Kevin Green.
The organisation aims to make operating profits of £400m in the next financial
year and to be ready to compete in an open postal market from 2007. Just two
years ago the organisation was losing around £1m a day.

Green, who took up his position in October 2003, expects to transform not
only the structures and the way employees work, but the culture and how people
think.
"My role is to streamline the structures and take out things that do
not add any value," he said.
