Sainsbury’s
is to create 10,000 new jobs this year as part of a three-year programme to
refurbish all of its stores in Britain.
Full
and part-time jobs will be available at stores nationwide in every area of
Sainsbury’s, from butchers and bakers to checkout operators.
Nigel
Broome, Sainsbury’s director of Retail HR said: "Recruiting high calibre
staff during 2002 is an essential part of our plans for growth. Over the year,
we will have positions available in all areas of the business and extensive
training will be provided as part of our commitment to delivering a great
service."
The
company will also be employing people to work in its distribution team at new
state-of-the-art depots.
